Ten-pin bowling, a potluck, pub night, boat cruise and a walk through the streets of Brockville are all signature events of Brockville Pride. In 2011, Brockville held it’s first Pride walk that tested the tolerance of residents who live in the small town on Lake Ontario. The walk was a success and by its second year Brockville Pride was in full swing.

On Thursday March 14th, downtown Ottawa will turn into a rainbow tour de force when delegates from various Pride organizations descend upon the city, for the Fierté Canada Pride (FCP) and Inter Pride Region 7 Conference hosted by Capital Pride.

Despite the occasional temper flaring and emotional outbursts, Capital Pride’s Annual General Meeting on Wednesday Oct 24, ended on a solid note.
The Board member’s reports were strong and informative, the financial records were sound and seven new community members were elected to the Board.

The fall leaves may not be up to their usual standards this year, but there are some fabulous colours coming out in the Ottawa Valley the first weekend of Fall.
Perth Pride on Saturday, Sept 22 includes a roster of events that bring to mind fall fairs rather than big-city pride events.

Joanne Law’s latest award as Outstanding Activist of the Year brings her trophy toll to the grand total of 28. Law accepted her latest award at Capital Pride’s Awards Gala at the Arc Hotel on Aug 17.
